The weather conditions of Montana closely emulate much of the Rocky Mountain and Pacific Northwest.  Snow, rain, sun, and wind are the usual elements which MTP’s Ranchwood products must be prepared for.  All ranchwood products are prefinished with 2 face coats and 1 back coat of Seal-Once, a NO VOC, NON Toxic waterproofer which helps protect the siding and timber products from water ingress and UV.

ranchwood™ is commonly utilized for interior accent material. Pictured here, wainscoting above the fireplace mantel shows how mixed color can be integrated into the interior design of the home.  Here, mixed color 1×6 shiplap is utilized to integrate additional wood tone.

1×8 Ship Lap (Tackroom), 1×10 & 1×3 Board and Batten

Overlooking the Gallatin River Valley, the owners of this residence desired an exterior siding product that would blend their home into the scenic landscape of the equestrian community.  Ranchwood was the perfect solution, providing the owners with a rustic wood siding which complimented modern design elements, could safely be utilized for interior applications, and provided a warranty against water penetration.

The integration of Montana Timber Products Ranchwood with corrugated steel accents is a common design trend we often see in the Rocky Mountain and Pacific Northwest.

Restaurant with ranchwood™ Board and Batten Siding

Restaurant with ranchwood™ Board and Batten Siding

Where: Sisters, OR
What: New Light Commercial Restaurant Building
Special requirements: Meet Local Architectural Design Guidelines
Solution: Ranchwood® (Tackroom) 1×10 and 1×3 Board and Batten
Products: Board and Batten, Pre-Finished matching soffit material in MTP’s Tackroom color

Another commercial project built with Ranchwood!

The developer and owner of this new Subway location required a pre-finished, durable, product which met the architectural guidelines of the municipality.  The contractor desired a product that was easy to install and was competitively priced.   Here, the Ranchwood Board and Batten option closely resembled reclaimed barn wood at a fraction of the cost.

MTP Oregon Representative, Cody Reynolds, met with the contractor and architect to thoroughly explain product options, trouble shoot portions of the design, and even provided customized Simpson nails to match the siding. Then our MTP crew back in Montana made sure the order got out on time and Cody’s follow through was excellent.

The Ranchwood Timber Series options can provide both structural and appearance support during the building processing. Often, application will be either interior or exterior accent beams or porch wraps.  Here, a 4×4 is nicely integrated into a corner section.

We’re looking forward to working with them on future Subway locations!  Cody’s got more projects nearing completion in the Oregon area and we’ll be sure to bring you more photos and details soon.
