AquaFir™ is finished with a semi-transparent stain that doesn’t hide the grain.  This allows the natural wood product to create variation and be versatile for any design need.  SEAL-ONCE® is a water based clear sealant used to seal the entire board before leaving the mill.   All product lines are textured, profiled, stained, and sealed before shipping directly to the designated location.

Product Use:  1×6 shiplap with 1/8” reveal vertical siding.  1×8 shiplap with 1/8” reveal for garage doors. Soffit and overhang ceilings are 1×6 tongue and groove material.  1×8 fascia, 2×4, 2×6 window trim,  2×8 door and corner trim.  Timbers 8×8, 3×4 and 4×4, all for the front entry.

In extreme climates, acclimation and installation are crucial. Montana Timber Products helps by stabilizing any board wider than 6″ by doing relief cuts. Selecting a siding profile that allows the wood to naturally expand and contract is key to the longevity of the wood siding.  This project elected to use channel rustic, any lap siding with a reveal works well in extreme climates.  At Montana Timber Products we offer profiles for every climate and customer need (shiplap, shiplap with 1/8 or ¼ reveal, square edge lap, channel rustic, tex gap, and square edge (used for board on board or board and batten).  Tongue and groove profile is offered, but not recommended as a siding profile, using T&G for soffits, ceilings and interior work best.  Along with the profile, selecting the boards width is critical.  Montana Timber Products offers boards 4”, 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” wide talk to our sales professionals to find what will work best for your project.
