Corral Board is an authentic reclaimed wood product that encompasses the history of the West. Weathered from decades of prairie winds, sun, and precipitation, it is left with a silver patina finish, bands of moss, and authentic fastener holes. Whether used for siding, trim, or paneling, Corral Board will bring an authentic beauty to your home. We offer this product in 1x8 and 2x8, random length 4'-20'. The species is Douglas Fir and Pine.
Why an alternative to traditional wood siding?
Corral Board offers the opportunity to re-purpose existing wood. Its age, many decades old, provides an extremely low moisture content to ensure a stable, resilient, product for all interior and exterior applications and minimizes the need for additional treatment. At Montana Timber Products, we've sustainably sourced our Corral Board from livestock pens and fences to bring true Western authenticity to your home without dismantling historical buildings..
As an authentic reclaimed wood product, Corral Board can be left in its natural state to allow continuous weathering from the elements. Alternatively, it can be clear coated with Seal-Once™ to provide additional waterproofing and UV protection. With proper care, your Corral Board product will remain waterproof for years. Seal-Once™ is a high-performance, toxin-free, water-based sealer that exceeds current and future eco-requirements. By incorporating sub-micron particles a unique lattice work is formed allowing the product to sink deep below the surface. As it cures it forms an interior film that prevents water from infiltrating the surface. You can simply re-seal the exterior siding to your liking.
Seals and Protects against Water Penetration for up to 10-years.
When treated with Seal-Once™, Corral Board is so durable it comes with a 10-year limited warranty. The Seal-Once™ effective finish life is 5 years on horizontal surfaces, and up to 10 years on vertical surfaces.
