Installation & Maintenance
Installation Guidelines
Proper installation is critical to the performance of natural wood products. Following industry best practices helps secure materials correctly, reduce movement, and ensure long-term durability. Careful planning and execution create a stable, lasting result.
Disclaimer: The provided documents serve as general best practices. Because climates and job site conditions vary widely, contractors must use their industry best regional knowledge and experience to dictate a professional installation tailored to their specific environment.
Maintenance Guidelines
Exposure to sunlight and moisture naturally weathers wood, leading to gradual shifts in color and surface appearance. Routine cleaning and periodic finish reapplication are essential to preserve the material’s original look, performance, and longevity. Ultimately, maintenance frequency will vary based on climate exposure, surface orientation, and your personal aesthetic preferences.
Limited Warranty
Our limited warranty clearly outlines coverage, terms, and product expectations, providing you with confidence in our material quality and long-term performance. Please review the full details to understand the protection and support backing your investment.

Standard MTP Relief Cut
Relief cuts are milled into the back of each of our boards to improve airflow when installed. This aids in the wood envelope’s moisture management and will reduce short and long-term movement across all North America’s environmental demands. This added stability helps minimize cupping and supports long-term sustainable performance. These cuts are standard on all profiled materials and included on 1″ square edge boards in 8″, 10″, and 12″ widths.

Ordering, Shipping & Logistics
What to Expect When Placing an Order
Our ordering process is designed to be clear and predictable from start to finish
Preparing to Receive Direct to Jobsite Shipment
DELIVERY & OFFLOADING
Materials are shipped via flatbed or LTL carriers. Ensure the jobsite can accommodate delivery access and staging. Units may be up to 48″ wide and 20′ long, with bundle weights exceeding 4,000 lbs. A forklift or appropriate equipment is required for offloading.
INSPECTION AT DELIVERY
Inspect all materials upon delivery. Note any visible damage on the Bill of Lading prior to signing and notify our team promptly. Report any defects before installation, as installation constitutes acceptance.
ON-SITE STORAGE
Protect materials from direct sunlight, moisture, debris, and construction activity. Store units flat, elevated off the ground, and covered to shed water while allowing airflow. Avoid fully sealing bundles, and store undercover when possible.
HANDLING
Lift materials rather than dragging to prevent surface damage. Take care to protect edges and factory finishes during handling and movement on-site.
Pricing and Custom Takeoffs
Pricing
Base pricing for profiled prefinished material starts at ~$5.75 per board foot. Final pricing will vary based on species, product line, profile, and project-specific requirements. To simplify the planning process, your local representative is always available to help translate board foot estimates into exact square footage coverage to meet your specific design requirements.
Custom Take-Offs
We provide complimentary take-offs and material estimates based on digital plans to support your early planning and budgeting. These include color-coded elevations to help clearly visualize material coverage and layout.

Disclaimer: Our estimates are intended as a helpful planning tool and must be reviewed against your own on-site project take-offs prior to finalizing an order. Final material quantities are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
