THE VISION

The Barn project in Park City, Utah emerges as a haven for recreation, relaxation, and wellness. Imbued with a classic Western-style barn house aesthetic, the project not only seeks to entertain but also to provide a sanctuary for rejuvenation.

THE SOLUTION

Comprising two key structures, The Barn’s first building boasts diverse amenities – a pizzeria, ice cream shop, general store, sports court, game room, and arts & crafts studio, catering to both the young and the young at heart. The second structure acts as a restorative retreat, featuring a fully-equipped fitness center, juice bar, spa with an extensive treatment menu, and a serene zen pool lounge.

ranchwood™ Artisan Integration

The interior cladding, specifically 1”x6” Shiplap Douglas Fir, takes the form of ranchwood™ Artisan in Ash color with Raked texture. This deliberate choice not only aligns with Victory Ranch’s vision of a Western barn house but also contributes to crafting a warm, inviting ambiance for their guests.

THE VISION

Amidst the arid expanse of Arizona’s desert, the design aspiration for this residence was clear – to harmonize the architectural elements with the warmth of natural wood. The homeowner sought to cultivate an atmosphere that not only encapsulated the region’s essence but also radiated a sense of refined elegance.

THE SOLUTION

In pursuit of this vision, Western Red Cedar emerged as the natural solution of choice. Possessing inherent qualities that effortlessly withstand the demanding Arizona climate, Cedar evokes a sense of timeless splendor while mirroring the rugged grace of the desert landscape.

The pairing of the dark and the light – Charwood™ Midnight and Aquafir™ Cascade – was a deliberate selection, carefully curated to instill the exterior and interior with a captivating narrative. This aesthetic interplay not only visually connects the spaces but also serves as a testament to the nuanced design sensibilities at play.

This popular Asian-fusion restaurant in Montana was relocated and modernized inside and out with Montana Timber Products materials.  The contrast in colors and applications with clean vertical lines creates an attractive modern appeal.  By design, the abundance of natural wood and light provide a warm, biophilic feel to the structure.

AquaFir™ is offered in 3 textures: smooth, wire brush and circle sawn, each offer a different look and change the appearance to personalize the project.  Along with different textures and profiles, you can customize your wood species, with douglas fir or cedar.
