Products:  Charwood™ silvertip siding and AquaFir™ black for trims in douglas fir wood.
Product Use:  Silvertip horizontal siding 1×10 shiplap and vertical siding is 1×10 and 1×6 board and batten.  The AquaFir™ black trim package: 2×12 belly band, 2×10 garage trim, 2×8 and 2×6 fascia, 2×4 corner, window, and door trim.

The use of wood with stone have been used in architecture since the beginning of time.  They create a refined look of sustainability.  This organic aesthetic creates a luxurious home with clean lines.  Wood and stone both come from the earth, giving a look of belonging.  Natural materials provide variation in the look and that mimics nature.  The use of two siding profiles (vertical board and batten and horizontal shiplap) creates interest and depth to the look.  The charred wood and black trim are complimented with the brown soffit, timbers, and rafter tails to warm up the overall look.

Building at high elevations in the fall can create challenges.  Early freezes, rain, and morning dew can all create wet conditions making it difficult to schedule exterior painting or staining.  Pre-finished wood created in a controlled environment eliminates the peeling and cracking of paint and stain that was applied in poor weather conditions.  Ideal painting weather is 50-85 degrees with little wind and humidity. Most stains and paint are formulated to dry, ideally not in weather below 32 degrees, which creates longer drying times and more potential for problems.

Product:  Exterior siding using the Ranchwood product line in two color, Western and Tackroom, with circle sawn texture all in douglas fir.  The Barn Red color is a custom color with skip sawn texture.

Product Use:  Vertical siding is shiplap profile 1×8, trim and corners are a square edge profile in 2×6 and 2×12 material. Soffit and ceilings are all 1×6 shiplap material.
The horizontal siding is a custom reveal profile 2×12 square edge material.  The barn red is vertical shiplap (1×8) with square edge material for trim and rafters.

The wood is sealed on all sides with the Seal Once product in a controlled environment.  Staining and sealing in a controlled mill help to insure the wood is protected from water and weather.
